People are often prescribed opioids following a catastrophic car accident to relieve pain. Regular or long-term use of opioids can lead to physical dependence, which can result in increased medical costs and a prolonged rehabilitation process.
Our Recovery Consulting services are designed to help individuals struggling with chemical dependency, resulting from the injuries and trauma sustained from a motor vehicle accident, identify and facilitate appropriate treatment.
A comprehensive assessment is required for all clients before services can begin. The assessment is conducted by a Recovery Consultant, who has the education and experience necessary to identify and develop an individualized recovery plan that is tailored to the client’s specific needs.
After the assessment has been completed, a detailed recovery plan is developed. Recovery plans may include treatment recommendations, recovery coaching, alternative pain management modalities, transitional living programs, therapy, recovery goals, and random drug screens.
To support clients in achieving their recovery goals, Recovery Consultants provide ongoing advocacy and oversight of the recovery plan. This is done by communicating with the client’s team and/or Case Manager, collaborating with the Recovery Coach, and providing status updates to the Claims Adjuster.
The recovery plan may include a client’s enrollment in random drug and alcohol testing. The Recovery Consultant collaborates with the client and the Claims Adjuster to create consequences for missed or failed tests.
